The Boniest Person on the Tiniest Planet

from Accepting Your Affinity by Southpaw Sonata

about

The final revelation. It’s easy to want things, it’s harder to go out and actually make something
for yourself. Life would be easy if you got everything you ever wanted. Maybe that’s part of life, the want/have and living with acceptance of things out of your control, but never giving up on things you can control.

Fun fact:
The last song on the album is (chronologically) the first one we wrote. This song symbolized a change in the direction of our band. I decided to actually learn how to use my voice in a way that I didn’t hate and never looked back from there. The official name is a random phrase Jake blurted out one day after we told him he was skinny, but 'Tiny bone' just stuck so well as shorthand and now it’s basically a nickname for the song just as much as it is for Jake.

lyrics

\\\\Tiny Bone////

Life is easy when you grow your own gold
Let me reiterate that love can't be sold
Life is easy when you grow your own gold

Your voids been engulfing mine
The job was done from the inside
Don't take your senses for granted
The cosmos didn't plan on it
